- Abstract
- The results of prediction the stability of the earth's crust in selecting sites for underground isolation of high-level radioactive waste (HLRW) are presented. On the example of Nizhnekanskiy granitoid massif, that is currently considered the most likely location for HLRW disposal in Russia, the methodological aspects of forecasting the insulating properties rock masses displayed. We are show that the blocks with a high concentration of stress intensity are potentially dangerous to contain HLRW.
