- Abstract
- This article presents the results of experiments to study the relationship between the composition and the basic physical and mechanical properties of a composite material based on dolomite screening dropout and waste products made of non-plasticized polyvinyl chloride. To obtain samples, polymer waste was dissolved in methylene chloride, the solution was mixed with a filler and samples were pressed from the resulting mixture, followed by the removal of the solvent during heat treatment. The patterns of formation of the porous structure of the material were revealed depending on the ratio between the filler and binder in the volume of the material. It has been established how this ratio and porosity of the composite affect its density, thermal conductivity, strength, water absorption and frost resistance. A comparative assessment of the properties of the resulting composite is given with the maximum strength for this composition and the average values of the main performance indicators for building materials.
