- Abstract
- The process of desalination of aqueous solutions is considered using the example of a sodium chloride solution in a three-chamber electrodialysis apparatus using dispersion of powdered activated carbon. The dependence of the current efficiency and specific energy consumption of the electrodialysis separation process on the magnitude of the electric current for the studied types of carbon is studied. An increase in the efficiency of the electrodialysis separation process is shown when dispersing activated carbon microparticles into the solution being separated.
