- Abstract
- The article addresses the problem of acoustic leakage of speech information through building envelopes. A spectral-energy model of a speech signal is developed, taking into account the distribution of its energy over octave frequency bands (125-8000 Hz) depending on vocal loudness. Based on the model, the concept of a "multi-level acoustic risk corridor" is introduced and formalized - a region of key parameter values (distance from the source, sound insulation of the barrier, background noise level) where potential interception with satisfactory intelligibility is possible. Calculations for 16 typical scenarios have been carried out, critical risk factors have been identified, and corresponding graphical dependencies have been constructed. Practical recommendations for designing acoustic protection of premises based on octave analysis are formulated.
