- Abstract
- The article examines the current state of the lubricant and coolant production industry in the Russian Federation and assesses the environmental risks caused by the composition of such fluids, as well as the specifics of their production and application in the field of metal processing. The article systematizes environmental risks based on the general characteristics of lubricant and coolant fluids and the types of products produced in the Russian Federation. Based on the systematization of environmental risks, the author proposes ways to optimize the production and application of lubricant and coolant fluids. It has been found that the further safe disposal of cutting fluids is more of an economic than a technological issue. The proposed solutions are aimed at conducting additional laboratory research, developing chemical technologies, and applying alternative solutions by metal processing enterprises. These solutions prioritize environmental issues related to the health of enterprise personnel.
