- Abstract
- The article presents data on the characteristics of bioaccumulation of mercury wild plants near the source of pollution - Kirov-Chepetsk chemical industrial complex (Kirov Region). Bioaccumulation depends on the element content in the soil and is species-specific. The most contaminated with mercury the plants growing on soils with high content of the element. With the increase in the element in the soil reduces the coefficient of accumulation of the aerial organs of plants. First time to investigated territory identified species of mercury accumulators (sagebrush vulgaris, lambsquarters), which can be used for phytoremediation phytoindication and contaminated soils.
