- Abstract
- The issues concerning minimization of underground hydrosphere contamination coming from hazardous wastes isolation facility have been considered based on digital hydrogeological model of representative site in the north-western region of Russia. Using numerical modeling methods the dilution factor in control points has been obtained and analyzed in dependence on location depth of waste isolation facility and remoteness of monitoring points from the potential contaminating facility. There have been predicted two model parameters that provide minimum negative impact on population and environment according to the level of underground water contamination.
