- Abstract
- The area under consideration are at one's junction of three lithospheric plates: young the West Siberian Plate, Taimyr Microcontinent and ancient (AR-PR1) Siberian Platform. In 2006-2007 Sevmorgeo conducted seismic surveys offshore the Gydan and Yuratskiy bays and in addition regional profiles shot in the southern part of the Kara Shelf were processed. As a result of the geological composition of the Gydan-Yuratsk shallows and adjacent land were specified, and the oil and gas potential was evaluated. Mesozoic-Cenozoic sedimentary cover overlies with angular and stratigraphic unconformity the folded PZ deposits of different ages. Paleozoic in different extent dislocated rocks forms an intermediate structural complex between the MZ-KZ sedimentary cover and AR-PR granite-gneiss basement. Based on the seismic and gravimetric - magnetic modeling, forecasts were made of the depths of the surface of the consolidated basement, basaltic layer and the Moho surface relief was defined.
