- Abstract
- Thermomechanical treatment of ceramic powders (such as aluminium oxides and hydroxyapatites) can help submicron fraction elimination through immobilization of fine particles into large size particles. Such treatment can also facilitate grain size distribution and upgrade uniformity of the porous structure of insulation layers in cathode heating units and biocompatible plasma coatings. The article provides research results referring functional characteristics of ceramic composites prior and after application of the new technologies for powder treatment.
