- Abstract
- The result of experimental research on engineering and technological features of producing of items from ceramic and composite materials are presented. Application of modern composite materials is a promising trend in production of items of special purposes, exploited under unique conditions of outer space, nuclear power engineering, electronics, heat engines as well as biological systems. It was found out that final indicators of items quality are being formed in the course of the whole technological chain beginning with production of powders of special purity and minimal grain size end ending with operations of mechanical processing. The most efficient method of processing is diamond grinding by using of special lubricating and cooling technological media (LCTM). The best quality is achieved by using of methods of diamond finishing where bound or free abrasive is applied. Under such condition application of universal equipment is less efficient as to productivity than that of special equipment.
