- Abstract
- The chemical and phase transformations at carbothermal reduction of aluminium, titanium and silicon oxides were studied. The multi-stage reduction comprises formation of the gaseous monoxides (SiO, Al2O). It was shown that these intermediate products are the reagents in the heterogeneous synthesis of carbide phases (Ti3SiC2, Al2OC, ets).
