- Abstract
- A mathematical model for evaluating the durability of multilayer composite structures with taking into account the processes of plies fracture and damages accumulation is presented. To tackle a fatigue fracture of plies are used criterion of maximum stresses, tensor damageability function of second rank, linear summation rule for damages, and different schemes of ply elastic parameters reduction which different fracture modeles. The most heavy loaded elements of glass fiber reinforced casing-flanges-made by lay-up of specifically oriented layers of glass fabrics are studied, The estimate for carrying capacity of the flanges after fracture initiation is carried out. The possible ways of failure development are shown.
