- Abstract
- Based on the many years' investigation results we take into consideration the possibility of applying of detonation nanodiamonds (ND) in untraditional areas. We give the examples of prospective use of ND as polyfunctional adsorbents for extraction and purification of the proteins. It was reported about the possibility of creating of indicator systems (biochips), where the nanoparticle - marker protein complex is the sensor element. The question of principal possibility of ND application in medicine, for example, as enterosorbent and compound carrier applied for medical purposes are discussed. Modified nanodiamonds (MND) obtained in the Institute of Biophysics SB RAS form sols with high colloidal stability. Owing to this, we have new possibilities of studying the MND influence on complicated biological systems. We show the results of original nanodiamond influence on orga-nisms of laboratory animals at various methods of nanoparticle sols introduction (peroral, intramuscular, intravenous). We give the results of investigations physical and chemical properties MND. The question of new possibilities and prospects of MND in technical applications are discussed.
