- Abstract
- There are studied change of structure and properties of commercial poly-4-methylpentene-1 (PMP) in the process of its chlorination in solution of chlorine-contacting solvent up to the maximal possible chemically combined chlorine - 72,8 % by the modern methods of researches. There are determined changing degree of crystallinity, density, characteristic viscosity, flammability, physic-mechanic, thermomechanic properties of chlorinated PMP of different degree of chlorination. It is shown, that on the base of PMP by the method of chlorination in solution obtained the group of the new polymers of low flammability: plastics, thermoelastoplasts, soft amorphous plastics (type of elastomers), leatherlike polymers and brittle, glasslike thermoresistant resins type of commercial chlorinated rubbers. The new polymers posses considerable interest for production of the new composite materials of low flammability.
