- Abstract
- Hot isostatic pressing is used for densification of the protective coating at the surface of engine blades from Ni-base superalloy GS32. The compozit protective coating was fabricated by electroplating onto the surface of blade the protective layer from the Ni-Cr-Al-Ta-W-Hf-Si-Y alloy and aluminizing. It is demonstrated that a densification of the coating microstructure is occurred as a result of HIPing. A filling of the pores and microcrackes in the coating as a result of HIP is acompanied by significant improvement of the fatigue in accordance with fatigue testing of the HIPed blades made by MMPE named after V. V. Chernyshov, Moscow, RF.
