- Changes of structure and properties of commercial polybutene-1 (PB) were studied in the process of its chlorination in solution up to production of the maximal possible chemically combined chlorine - 72,8 % and also in suspension and solid phase by the modern methods of researches. Changes of combustibility, physical, mechanical and thermomechanical properties of chlorinated PB (CPB) of different degree of chlorination were determined. For the first time it was shown that on the base of PB by method of chlorination in solution the group of the new polymers of low combustibility with the properties of all known types of polymers: up to 8 % Cl - plastics; 9-22 % Cl - thermoelastoplasts; 23-42 % Cl - elastomers; 43-54 % Cl - leatherlike polymers and 62-73 % Cl - britte, glasslike, flameresistant resins was obtained. The new chlorinated PB obtained with valuable complex of technical properties are of considerable interest for production of the new composite materials of low combustibility.
