- Abstract
- Modern state and main directions of researches of Al/SiC metal matrix composites (MMC) in Russia and abroad are presented. It is noted that scientific researches made in Russia are fragmented and they are generally focused on obtaining of MMC and not on designing of technological processes of products manufacturing from them. It is necessary to study MMC behavior, in particular deformability at stage of high-temperature plastic deformation of workpieces. The studies will favour by developing of science-based technology of manufacturing of products from MMC with high physical-mechanical properties. Foreign investigations pay attention on obtaining of products from MMC by the methods of plastic deformation. Problems of influence of processing conditions on material microstructure forming, construction of constitutive equations describing the rheology of MMC under high-temperature plastic deformation of workpieces, acquisition of micromechanical multilevel structures of composites and others are considered.
