- Abstract
- Algorithms for the identification of elastic and strength properties of a unidirectional layer from test results obtained for multilayered composites. Using mentioned algorithms the authors performed the analysis of test results obtained under tension and compression of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). CFRP was manufactured with the use of a common binder and the same binder with purified single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT). The paper gives a new approach for the identification of strength properties: the approach enables one to simultaneously estimate applicability of one or another strength criterion for the ultimate layer strength surface and determine ultimate strengths of unidirectional layer. The conclusions about the effect of SWCNT on CFRP properties have practical significance.
