- Abstract
- Resistance to water and heat moisture effects of heat-resistant carbon-fiber composites VKU-38TR and VKU-38ZHN intended for use in heat-loaded structures was investigated. Exposure of samples of carbon-fiber composites on three stationary regimes with the determination of the equilibrium water and moisture absorption and changes in mechanical properties after exposure was carried out. This carbon-fiber composites are resistant to water and heat and humidity exposure, as evidenced by slight changes in their mechanical properties after exposure coupled with low values the equilibrium water and moisture absorption (0.82 % and 0.83% for the VKU-38TR; 0.56% and 0.60% for the VKU-38ZHN).
