- Abstract
- Aluminum-polymer composites ability to stretching and bending operations by sheet stamping was estimated. The three-layer and five-layer sheets of thickness 1 mm and polymer ratio of 43 % were fabricated using cold rolled aluminum sheets of alloys AlMn1 and AlMg5Li2 by cold rolling. Drawing tests were performed with a flat and a spherical punch, the three-point bending tests with the angles of 60° and 90° and a punch diameter of 3, 6, and 12 mm. The results show the Young's modulus, the drawing and bending load, the stretching and the spring back factor, uniform thickness deformation of the composites are affected by the physical and mechanical properties of the used combination. The results are of interest for shaping of sheets aluminum-polymer composites and predicting of their properties.
