- Abstract
- The influence of the dispersed particles of silicium dioxide (fumed silica) with different sizes and specific surface (FS-50, FS-100 and FS-120) on the toughness of polymer nanocomposites based on epoxy resin grade DER-330 is considered. It is established that at introduction of FS-50, FS-100 and FS-120 the impact strength of nanocomposite increases ~ twice at the corresponding optimum concentration of particles: 0.05, 0.01 and 0.005 about % respectively. It is shown that the maximum values of impact strength of studied nanocomposites on the basis of epoxy resin are reached only at formation in their structure of agglomerates by the sizes ~ to the 140-200 nm.
