- Abstract
- Procedure and results of experimental study of elastic and strength properties of carbon materials based on braided solid-woven carbon carcasses with various matrices: polymer, carbon and ceramic ones are described. The study was performed with the aid of tubular specimens with biaxial and triaxial braiding schemes. The specimens were tested under axial tension-compression and internal pressure. Deformation and failure modes are discussed for various braided structures.
