- Abstract
- Main aspects for design of fiber optic structural health monitoring (SHM) system for aircraft airframe construction made for polymer composite materials (PCM) were considered. It was noted that system allows to reduce operational costs, labor content of carrying out of plan and not provided for the plan aircraft's inspection, significantly increase evaluation accuracy of airframe construction and consequently increase flight's safety. There are pointed out tasks for SHM system, are considereds perspective methods and equipment for development of such system, including methods for fiber optics sensors signal processing. It was shown that SHM system allows significantly no decrease aircraft inspection's number or to accelerate their by localization of airframe zones that require additional inspection and by exclusion of operable zones from examined zones. While using SHM system airframe resource can be evaluate in real time during exploitation that's promote for repair's planning.
