- Abstract
- This paper presents a method for the optimal design of multicell truss sections of multi-layer composite bars. The methods involves the use of the finite element method for calculating projects and the global search method used in conjunction with the grid thickening method for optimization. The paper presents the results of applying the developed methods to the design of the truss structure of the unpressurized compartment of the international space station made of composite materials.
