- Abstract
- This article describes theoretical and experimental researches confirming the possibility of application a linear model for processing of data from fiber-optic sensors (FOS) based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) for non-destructive testing (NDT) of polymer composite materials (PCM). The technological aspects of creating a built-in PCM testing system are considered: the interaction of the "FOS-PCM" system, the influence of technological processes for the production of PCM, thermal and heat-humidity aging on the performance of the FOS, the effect of the integration of FOS into PCM made by the autoclave method and the vacuum infusion method, on their mechanical properties. An improved PCM testing technology using integrated FOS is proposed, possibilities of testing static and dynamic loads are shown.
