- Abstract
- Prototypes of electrode-tools (ET) from composite materials (CM) of the copper-graphite/carbon nanotubes (CNT) system have been obtained by the powder metallurgy. The structure formation of CM is studied by Raman spectroscopy. It is shown that the preliminary treatment of carbon particles with a solution of a copper salt reduces the electrical resistivity and relative electrical discharge wear of the CM during piercing of steel sheets and significantly increases the productivity of the EI. A probable mechanism of the influence of treatment of electrode-tools in copper salt on the properties is proposed.
