- Abstract
- In this article authors propose the method of strength and mass efficiency estimations for C-SiC sandwich panels manufactured for reusable space vehicles frames. The typical analysis cases for the panels are presented. The specific characteristic is proposed to compare panel designs. The use of the specific characteristic is demonstrated on the set of sandwich panels which differ in their core geometry parameters. The stress-strain state is obtained for these panels in the typical analysis cases and influence of the core geometry parameters is estimated.
