- Abstract
- This article describes the features of the functioning of structural elements of fiber-optic sensors based on refractive index gratings. It is proposed to use fiber Bragg gratings as a sensitive element, and long-period fiber Bragg gratings as a spectrally selective optical filter. A method for conducting experimental researches on the selection and adaptation of the design and technological parameters of optical fibers to create an embedded system for built-in diagnostics of composite structures has been developed and the results obtained are presented. It is shown that the investigated types of optical fibers of various types can be successfully applied to create integrated systems for built-in control of composites and structures based on them. A technological approach for protecting optical fibers in the input-output zone of composite construction using an elastic fluoroplastic capillary has been implemented. The expediency of restoring the protective polymer coating in the zone of deposition of fiber Bragg gratings using UV or thermosetting polymers to improve the reliability of embedded sensitive elements is shown.
