- Abstract
- The microstructure of the composite coating obtained by laser cladding based on nichrome containing ZrO2 and TiO2 additives modified with chromium oxides has been studied. It is shown that the modified and unmodified TiO2 powder floats to the surface of the surfacing, forming an almost continuous layer when exposed. TZ-3Y-E grade powder is concentrated inside the deposited layer around large pores formed. The introduction of ZrO2-5 wt. % Y2O3 into the composition of the deposited mixture leads to a uniform distribution of nanopowder agglomerates along the grain boundaries.
