- Abstract
- The influence of the orientation of unidirectional carbon fiber with respect to the E-wave vector on the heating intensity under microwave exposure has been studied. A significant dependence of the integral heating temperature of cured unidirectional carbon fiber samples placed in a microwave electromagnetic field on the orientation angle of the reinforcing fibers relative to the horizontal plane, or the E-wave vector of radiation, has been established. It is shown that the temperature of the samples at an installation angle of 0о is (45-55) оC, at 90о - (68-75) оC. At the same time, the overheating of the samples relative to the initial temperature at an installation angle of 90о reaches almost 3 times. The data obtained must be taken into account in practice when developing microwave modification technologies for PCM with multidirectional reinforcement of the structure.
