- Abstract
- The destruction of laminated carbon fiber in conditions of accelerated tests for multi-cycle fatigue by infrared thermography has been investigated. During the loading of the sample, the temperature on its surface is recorded. Loading represent a sequence of blocks with increasing load. Non-destructive ultrasonic testing is carried out between the blocks. The endurance limit is estimated by the intensification of self-heating of the sample. The mechanism of destruction and self-heating is revealed - the appearance and development of stratifications.
