- Abstract
- The article provides an overview of modern methods of precision micro-processing of spinnerets for extrusion of polymer fibers. Both traditional methods (mechanical punching, drilling, milling) and advanced technologies (laser, electrical discharge machining, LIGA, ion beam etching) are considered. Their capabilities, advantages and limitations in creating micro-holes with a given geometry and low roughness are described. Special attention is paid to the effect of the quality of the die processing on the properties of the final fibers and composites. It is shown that the choice of the optimal method depends on the required accuracy, complexity of the shape and material of the spinneret. The review allows us to systematize knowledge for the further development of technologies for the production of high-quality spinnerets.
