- Abstract
- Adhesive damage by the interlayer shear mechanism has been studied using the three-point bending tests of a multilayer metal-polymer composite. The ultimate deformation energy density depending on the phase angle was used as the local damage criterion. Simulation of the adhesive joint damage assessed on the degree of the adhesive strength utilization of the interlayer boundaries was performed.
