- Abstract
- World trends in power generation were analyzed in terms of costs, related pollution of the environment and availability of resources. Restrictions on emission of carbon dioxide were discussed. New concept of multigeneration through the full utilization of mineral carbon contained raw was proposed which will provide no pollutions of the environment. It was shown that realization of new concept is possible at significant lowering of the oxygen cost. New version of ion transport membrane technology is based on the use of multilayer membrane with a thin nanocermet layer providing selectivity. Nanocomposite membranes for oxygen separation consisting of the best electronic and oxygen conductors were fabricated by the mechanochemical ceramic method with enhanced in 3 orders interface limiting the permeability. Air separation in membranes at 600 oC will allow a production of cheap oxygen. Thermoelectric nanomaterial with ZT = 1.37 for direct conversion of heat waste to electricity was fabricated by the same approach.
