- Abstract
- The paper describes the peculiarities of experimental techniques for determining elastic properties and main strength properties of 3-D carbon-carbon composite material (CCCM) in three mutually perpendicular directions. New experimental data are given for the CCCM specimens based on the UT-900 fabric. The specimens are cut off from one and the same massive material in various directions. Typical stress-strain curves are presented as well as failure modes for various loading conditions. Mean values of elastic and strength characteristics are given for the groups of similar specimens.
