- Abstract
- Using high-temperature thermal cycling tests of model samples the thermal resistance of carbon composite materials with protective coatings used in thermally loaded elements of articles of equipment of new generation was investigated. Tests were carried out at the installation of the Keldysh research center. As for the heat-resistant composite materials were used carbon-carbon and carbon-ceramic composite materials, as coatings silicon carbide SiC, silicon carbide SiC with additives of tungsten W and molybdenum Mo, tantalum carbide TaC with tungsten W. Modernization of installation has allowed to increase the speed of indirect heating to 45 оC/s and temperatures up to 1600 оC and more. Developed method allows to investigate the structure of carbon-containing composite materials with coatings after high-temperature thermal cycling tests.
