- Abstract
- A directional change of the closed porosity from 1.0 to 13.6 % was carried out by varying the conditions of preparation of the sodium niobate (NaNbO3) ceramics. In the case of its increase there occurs a change both phase state of the NaNbO3 that is a result of several processes proceeding simultaneously (namely: a disappearance of the ferroelectric Q-phase, a formation and an interaction of point defects - alkaline component vacancies, and an origination of extended defects - crystallographic shift planes) and electrophysical properties. On the basis of the date obtained a conclusion on the possibility of using the porous sodium niobate ceramics in piezoelectric devices was made.
