- Abstract
- The experimental method and results of measurements of a shock adiabatic curve and spall strength of unidirectional polymeric composite materials consisting of high-modular organic fibers and various epoxy binders are presented. Action is realized perpendicular to the reinforcing plane. Loadings are generated by electric explosion of a foil or an explosive detonation. Shock and wave characteristics of material are defined by means of the analysis of wave profiles of back surface of flat samples. Dependence of spall strength on properties of a polymeric matrix is studied.
